Exciting news—Nesting Eagles!
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has confirmed there is an active eagle’s nest on the White Schoolhouse Road Mine property. The wildlife technician who visited the site to confirm it stated, “When I went there was an eagle on the nest and the male showed up with a fish later.”
The nest is not visible from the road or from public land.
