Our town. Our future. Our voices.

We are an association of residents concerned with the proposed increased mining activity along White Schoolhouse Road in the Town of Rhinebeck, NY and its impact on our environment, quality of life and the negative reflection an expansion will have on the rural character of Rhinebeck. Our goal is to inform the community about the issues and work together to stop large scale mining in the area.

Protecting our land, and all of its inhabitants

A rich diversity of habitats is found in the properties containing the current, active mines. The combination of Kettle Shrub Pools, different types of Wetlands, and Upland habitat types is particularly important as habitat for threatened Blanding’s turtles and other turtles and amphibians of special concern.
